Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance exam in India are as follows. Keep in mind that eligibility criteria may be subject to change, and it's essential to refer to the latest official notifications or the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the most up-to-date information.

1. Nationality:

A candidate must be either: A citizen of India, or A subject of Bhutan, or A subject of Nepal, or A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2. Age Limit:

For NDA (I): Born not earlier than 2nd July 2003 and not later than 1st July 2006.
For NDA (II): Born not earlier than 2nd January 2004 and not later than 1st July 2007.

3.Educational Qualifications:

Army Wing of NDA: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

4. Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit as per the prescribed standards set by the NDA.
